Star Fluted Christmas is adorned with the symbols of the holidays. Christmas symbols twine around a green garland of spruce on the finest cream-colored bone china. The garland adorns the rim of the plates, bowls, dishes and cups in the Star Fluted Christmas dinnerware series. Angels, hearts and drums are tied together with a large bow of red satin ribbon. The bow is different on each piece, so it looks as if loving hands have set their own stamp on every single one. The shape of the Star Fluted Christmas dinnerware is a Royal Copenhagen classic. When the idea for a new Christmas service was born, Royal Copenhagen's product development delved into the treasure vault, where the firm's archives for the last 230 years are kept, and found the Star Fluted Shape, which was produced in 1895. The Star Fluted Christmas dinnerware is made from bone china, which is more translucent than ordinary porcelain and has a warmer, creamy white color, giving the service a nostalgic, exclusive feel that goes beautifully with the red and green decorations on the service. Items of Star Fluted Christmas are not suitable for microwave oven.
