The Gourmet Pantry
A gourmet kitchen prides itself on specialty items which establish a signature for your love of food and cooking. The home chef who enjoys cooking with the best ingredients and equipment thrives in a gourmet kitchen. A gourmet kitchen is a kitchen that meets the needs of the cook as well as expresses his or her style. One of the elements to consider when planning a gourmet kitchen include specialty items such as unique French chocolates, rubs for meat and fish, and other items not readily available in your local market.
Gourmet cooking has evolved over time to include not only rich French sauces and other traditional dishes but natural,
healthful, global, and socially responsible fare as well. Of course, it
is up to the chef to implement these aspects into gourmet cooking. For
example, a gourmet chef may choose to use all organic ingredients or
ingredients that are only grown locally. Today it is healthful and common place to shop the local, fresh farm markets; and, we here in Michigan have the best of all possible produce, wines, fish and meats - cherries, blueberries, apples, peaches, fish, poultry, and grains. Road side markets dot our landscape, we are truly rich.
A main constant through all forms
of gourmet cooking is the use of ingredients that are of the highest
quality. The seafood, meat, vegetables, fruits, and spices are usually
fresh. Sometimes an ingredient is quite rare, such as the case with
morel mushrooms which can be harvested wild in our local woodlands. The result is that a dish using these specialty ingredients can
often be quite expensive.
Ciao Bella's gourmet pantry is proud to bring a few privately marketed products of extraordinary goodness for you and your family to enjoy.
