we believe that setting a beautiful table whether formal or casual is the
hallmark of a well appointed home. Ones linen closet need not be full, but
only well suited to your life style and your entertaining needs. Well used and
cared for quality linens can become handsome heirlooms for the next generation.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR YOUR TABLECLOTH
1. You must know the size(s) of your table and then you can calculate which of our tablecloth sizes are appropriate. Calculate your size requirements before beginning your on line search.
2. Let's assume your table is 40” x 78”
3. WIDTH: Calculate the drop on the sides of your table by taking its width and add twice the drop (inches) amount that you desire ….. a safe amount for a drop being 9 to 12+ inches on either side. For example: a 59 “ wide tablecloth on a 40” table will provide a 9.5 drop on each side.
4. LENGTH: If your table is 78” long and the tablecloth is 102”, you subtract the length of the table from the length of the cloth that leaves 24” inches, which provides a 12” drop on both ends. Perfect! The sides and ends do not necessarily need to have the same drop, they can vary by several inches.
5. A custom size may be a solution for uniquely sized tables, but keep in mind that not all patterns and colors are available in yardage lengths. Our acrylic coated woven damask tablecloths from France are available in any length with a maximum 71" width (sold by the running inch).
6. Select your style and pattern for your tablecloth from our world class companies many options; check out all sizes that are provided for that specific pattern and other patterns. We recommend a square tablecloth for a round table and a rectangular cloth for an oval table.
