Mason Cash Mixing Bowl
Simply beautiful and durable, these quality bowls show how elegance can be achieved with materials such as ceramic. Mason Cash today is one of the few remaining manufacturers of traditional ceramic kitchen equipment. What makes these products unique is that they are made in a traditional way using quality materials. The origins of Mason Cash can be traced back to the heart of Derbyshire, England in around 1800.
Mason Cash ceramics were made from ‘white and cane’ glazed earthenware, also known as ‘yellow ware’ due to the color of the local clay. The pottery was run by a series of Master Potters, of whom the most colorful was ‘Bossy Mason’. Tom Cash acquired the pottery in 1901, and renamed the company Mason Cash and Co.
Mason Cash mixing bowls were designed to remain static during manual mixing with a textured pattern around the exterior, which not only allows for a tight grip but also to give the bowl a distinguishable look. The bowl’s shape is designed for the cook to hold the bowl in one arm easily, while using the other arm for beating the mixture. It also features a wide, shallow shape ideal for kneading dough and allowing it to rise, and a white interior, intended so that the cook can easily see the color and consistency of the mixture.
The mixing bowls can be used in the oven and microwave, and are safe in the freezer and dishwasher. Use these bowls for a variety of purposes.... * Cooking: Especially liquid preparations
* Mixing: Ideal for mixing and beating purposes
* Display: Gives a traditional look to your kitchen
* Storage: Can be used for storing puddings
Mason Cash ceramics are oven, micorwave and dishwasher safe! Temperatures higher than 400 degrees are OK for bakeware only.
The Mason Cash mixing bowl has met the test of time by combining both ergonomic and functional elements. Mason Cash products are functional, long-lasting and beautiful. There’s something about them that has transcended the generations, whether it’s the pattern, the durability or the usefulness. All of these things have made Mason Cash mixing bowls exist for the last 100 years. There’s a nostalgic feeling towards Mason Cash and each handcrafted piece is an heirloom that you can hand down to your children.
